No — Shine Academy is a school your child comes to in person, every day. Children learn in small, supported groups; they simply choose to work in books or on a laptop, and we support them either way.
What's the difference between working in books and working on a laptop?
It's just the medium. Books means a structured curriculum worked the classic, hands-on way with pen and paper. Laptops means interactive digital lessons on a screen. Both happen at school, in a small group, with our team helping and overseeing tests.
What grades do you cater for?
Grade R through Grade 7. Academic support runs right through, and is most concentrated in Grades 4–7. Children are grouped by stage so they're comfortable, supported and happily challenged.
My child has been struggling. Is this the right place?
Very likely yes. Supporting children who learn differently is at the core of what we do. Smaller groups let us adapt to your child and give real one-on-one help — without making them feel singled out.
Do you do more than just schoolwork?
Absolutely. Our calendar is full of outings and excursions, sports and physical activities, fun themed days and creative arts — because happy, active children are the best learners.
How do I find out about fees and availability?
The quickest way is a WhatsApp message or a call on 061 404 0877. We'll talk you through current places, fees and next steps, and arrange a visit whenever suits you.
